Improving care for pediatric burns
one child at a time
We care a lot about children.
We are a collaborative of Children’s Hospitals are working to improve care of children with burn injuries. We recognized that children with burn injuries receive their care in a variety of settings. This makes it hard to study and even harder to improve the standard of care.
Our goals are to:
Identify quality metrics, establish benchmarks and promote best practices in the care of pediatric burn injuries
Utilize research and data to improve the quality of pediatric burn and trauma care and increase patient safety by decreasing variation in treatment protocols
Develop and implement a standard set of pediatric performance improvement measures at our member institutions, nationally and internationally
