Improving care for pediatric burns

one child at a time

We care a lot about children.

We are a collaborative of Children’s Hospitals are working to improve care of children with burn injuries. We recognized that children with burn injuries receive their care in a variety of settings. This makes it hard to study and even harder to improve the standard of care.

Our goals are to:

  • Identify quality metrics, establish benchmarks and promote best practices in the care of pediatric burn injuries

  • Utilize research and data to improve the quality of pediatric burn and trauma care and increase patient safety by decreasing variation in treatment protocols

  • Develop and implement a standard set of pediatric performance improvement measures at our member institutions, nationally and internationally
